Friends and Dreamers Email Hoax - Tue Nov 4 13:00:45 2008 Please be advised the Friends and Dreamers (fandd) League has been targeted by someone trying to cause problems for the League. The person responsible has sent emails to members of several Leagues pretending to be a representative of the Friends and Dreamers League. The following is an example of the email:

We have researched several of the emails since it was brought to our attention by various Leagues in the last few weeks and have confirmed that the emails were not initiated by any member or staff located at Friends and Dreamers.
The person responsible for doing this is using the email address, fandd.recruiter@gmail.com, to send the emails; however, the "From" field of the email may appear to be sent from a different email address. The known email addresses are:
If members of your League receive an email from this person, please let your members know that your League is not closing and that the issue is being investigated. We also strongly suggest that all recipients of the email forward a copy of the email to abuse@google.com and the respective "reply-to" email address company as well. The following are the email addresses to report the abuse, depending on the email address in the "reply-to" field:

The following message, or something similar, should be included when reporting the abuse:

This Months News
Great new things happening this month at The Lion's Den. We have a contest happening right now and will explain further down about it. We also want to welcome Delores on becoming a TD and hope to see much more of her tours! She did awesomely on her first tour. There are a couple things needed to be addressed before we begin. Tours not being done. We had agreed when we decided to continue the league that everyone would chip in to help with the tours. We are falling in the same rut as before and this needs to stop before it is to late. If we move as before there will be NO changing of minds. So please host when you can so we can keep our members happy. Also there are whispers of cheating in some games. We ask if this is happening you must stop because we will not put up with cheaters as this is unfair and rude.

Contests We are currently having a contest called "Earn hours played" The rules are on the front page of The Lion's Den. So get in there and play as many tours as possible to win the prize! TOC
We will be having the TOC every month from now on. We will try and have it the second week of every month. If this changes we will keep you updated. LATEST NEWS
The Pogo Gems are wanting to have a BOTL with us in bowling. Their top 5 with our top 5. This will be Monday (the 3rd) at 9pm cases time. The first 5 to volenteer will be accpeted. So if you are interested please let cb, cathy or atr know

We currently need new TD's willing to host atleast 2 times a week. We also want to welcome all our new members and wish to see alot of you in upcoming tours. News and upcoming events in the month of October! New things are happening here at the Lion's Den! We will be doing murder mystery this month every monday at 9:15 pm cases time. So please make sure you come and have some fun with us! If you need the rules in advance to get used to them then don't hesitate to contact cb. cathy or myself and we will send them to you. WTG Delores foe the big token win tonight (10/05/08). We are going to try presetting so you will have the time to plan ahead so you may join us. Also if for any reason you want off the lion's list for IMs about tours then you need to let us know so we can remove you. IMing isn't meant to annoy but to let you know we have a tour coming up. So again if for any reason you want removed then let us know so we can make sure that happens. We also want to remind you to visit http://registerrooms.gotop100.com/ and vote for our league so we can keep rising in the ranks to become #1. Right now we are on page 2. Look for the TOC this month. Also we want to welcome all our new members to the league and hope to see you often in tours for great fun and making of new friends! We also want to say goodbye to Lisa as at first a CO-HA then as an admin and TD. She stepped down due to personal reasons so we ask that you keep her in your prayers at this time. Be assured she is still a member of the lions and we hope she will be joining us in tours soon. want to Thank Cathy before I begin on all the great hosting she has been doing. THANK YOU!! Now that was said, lets begin with getting new lions! I am trying to find ways I can get more jumpers and more TD's to take the pressure off Cathy more or less. We have ALOT of games not being played and I know some of you "hate" these games I just ask for you to try and support the league by playing them. That includes myself as well cause I do "hate" alot of these games. We have to host in these rooms atleast once a month to keep them. Some Lions say there arent enough tours being played and when there are no one wants to jump. This makes the host not want to host because they have to beg for jumpers which makes the IMs crazy. For example, the other day a TD got 3 jumpers and couldn't get the 4th. So those lions just wasted 15mins of their day while the host was begging. That makes them mad as well (atleast I would of been). So please if you can please,please jump. Thank you. We are in need for TD's as there are only 3 active TD's right now. I am going to try to have "set" tours everyday so we can get some regulars coming back to the league. There are a few lions I would like to thank because rain or shine that ALWAYS jump. Q. How does the Biggest Loser Tourney work?
A. Well by simply playing in the tourney you play the regular 10 minutes, you bet max and instead of normally wanting to win, this time you hope that you lose so that you can continue on. Example is if you would normally lose the round this time you would be marked as the winner, and continue on. If you have any questions please ask before the Biggest Loser Tourney starts, and it is a swiss too.

This is yet again a short but sweet newsletter
First off we just wanted to remind you that we have lots of special tours 5 days a week ranging from Survivor, The Biggest Loser, The Lion_s Hunt, Murder Mystery and Team Canasta... The new one being added is CASTAWAY The 1st Castaway Tour is being held on Monday Jan 14th @915pm (est)it will be done in Thousand Island Solitaire JUMP # 308861
Just a few tips for that tourney lol, the lion_s that has the most beached- out mini will win a badge book. Also there will also be a prize handed out at the end of the tourney... so JUMP JUMP JUMP... please read the full rules on the tourney page
The winner of last months contest was... drum roll please.... Jillian. Jill's name was randomly selected for playing in a tourney in December. WTG Jill! How that contest worked was for each tour you played your name was entered into a ballot box... This time Jill's name was drawn. Again Congrats to you Jill!

Our League celebrates our 2nd Birthday this month Thank you for all being a part of the best league out there! Thank you to all the Td's that have helped us to get to where we are... # 1
It is good player etiquette to wish your opponent Good Luck (GL) so please remember to do this when playing in a tourney. Thank you in advance. A new rule for Bingo Luau is: To keep the game running smoothly if you don't report your tokens when they come up the win will automatically go to opponent.
We will be having a battle of the Leagues on Friday Sept 14/07 with our good friend Annie's league, we need 5 lion_s that wish to play in this to please contact Cheryl. Let's show how strong our lion_s are

That is 23 games and we are looking to add more so if you want a game that isn't on that list then please IM Cheryl, Cathy or I and we will look into adding it
There are over 15 tours on the calendar for Wednesday Sept 12/07 so JUMP JUMP JUMP! lol
We are always looking for new Td's to help us fill that schedule, so if you can volunteer for at least 2 tourneys a week we would love to have you, all you have to do is go to the Tourney Directors page and click on app. It is a very rewarding position that we all enjoy so please help us out
